Childhood Favourites Fanart~ The Powerpuff Girls

I love 90’s cartoons. Dexter’s Lab , Ed, Edd and Eddy, Johny Bravo and Courage the Cowardly Dog never missed me. I adored all of these shows and so much more. One of my favourites was the Powerpuff Girls. Super powered girls fighting crime and saving the day, what was there not to like. I got my little sister onto them last year, she was hooked. I, of course, also watched over a couple epsiodes shamelessy.

Naturally, Buttercup was my favourite because she was a tomboy and I was too, simple .

For the fanart I did them much older and in a semi-realistic style.

Bubbles was the last one I did and I like how she came out the best.  It was really fun to do all of these pieces.

Hope you like.

What were your favourite 90’s cartoon?

Happy New Year ! It’s 2015

Well, by God’s grace we’ve made it to 2015. I hope your Christmas and New Year’s celebrations were full of warmth and love. Though tiring, my holiday was and I miss it all already. There is a huge part of me that doesn’t want to let it go but a new year has begun and it is time to get moving.

As I looked back at my last new year resolution list here , I have to cringe a bit.  Honestly, I’ve kept up with two things on this list, maybe three. I am disappointed in that but not discouraged. I’ll keep at till I get it right and if you are the same , you should too. I’ve learnt a lot in 2014 and with what I’ve learnt I plan to make better decisions this year.

If there was one thing I’ve realised is that doubting myself held me back so much. I didn’t realise it then but I was my worst enemy many times. It takes some time but once you know what it is that is keeping you , you can break that obstacle apart. One thought that helped me with this, was placing my faith in God. In Him I can trust and that grants me much peace.

With the new year now before us, there is so much that will happen we don’t know, and that can be scary but take it one day at a time, one moment at a time. Take nothing for granted, love God, love those around you, work hard and give your best.

With all of this being said, I hope you like the blog’s new banner for 2015. It is still the girl I’ve mention in this post and here. She will be given a better name than The Girl With The Sky In Her Hair, I promise.

Thanks for reading. What are your goals, dreams, plans for 2015?

Digital Painting Practice- A Sunset

It’s been a while and I’m sorry about that. I was very busy for a while but now my free time is back, well,  for now.

Been working on this a few months back to go back with the sunrise one I did before.  I am very obsessed with the sunset. To me, is one of the most beautiful things God ever created. Just looking at it makes me happy, like I have to have my wedding, baby and 50th anniversary under the sunset, somehow. I love it and when it is gone I miss it so much.

Sunset

Well, I rediscovered  this while I was going through some unfinished work of mine (which is quite a bit).

Anyways, this was just a study for me and I was getting quite meticulous on it so I decided to let it go a bit and now here it is. The sunrise painting mentioned before can be seen here and the reference photo for this can be found here .

Not sure what I will do next, maybe something  with water but whatever it is you guys will see it.

Which are you? Sunrise or sunset?

Thanks for reading.

Sketch Batch

Here are a few sketches I drew over the course of time I was away from the blog.

Sketches of the Week

Sketches of the Week

Been busy with some projects so no finished work for now but you’ll see some fanart  of Annie Mei and Rei from the artist CT Chrysler [more of his stuff  here and here] and some concept drawings of my character, “The Girl With the Sky In Her Hair”.

Yes, I know it’s the longest name ever. Not that long names are bad or anything . I mean Sparky Sparky Boom Man is a pretty popular name [talking about such, have you seen the Book Three Legend of Korra trailer as yet?] . I just haven’t found the perfect name yet but I’m sure I will.

Till then, bye and enjoy your week.

Girl With the Sky In Her Hair Sketch

Heya, hope everyone’s day is going well.

Did some sketching yesterday of an OC (Original Character) I’ve had in mind. She is just known as ‘ The Girl with the Sky in Her Hair’ for right now. If you look at the banner for this blog just above, you’ll see my very first drawing of her. I talk a bit more about it here .

I have a million ideas floating around in my brain for this character right now so look forward to more sketches of her.

Below sketch and lineart.

New Month!

Hope everyone is keeping up with the goals they set earlier this year. I haven’t been completely consistent but I’m not giving up yet. I can still turn things around and so can you.

Morning Sketches

Some morning sketches to loosen up a bit. Did these in Photoshop, haven’t been in there for a while and it felt a bit foreign so I’ll be returning to it more often.

Have a great day!
